ANOTHER SHOOTING AT THE ANCHOR! FCK IT JUST BLAME IT ON HIP-HOP!!

 

So another shooting this time near the Anchor and three people got hit? Read the article Shooting Outside Anchor  on ADN! Now Lets go down the list of recent problems with the club scene in Anchorage, Office Lounge – Shooting several rounds were found like they was in Iraq letting loose, Platinum Jaxx – Shooting led to a Death and the guy who did it just got arrested (some call em Flatten Em Jaxx after that) , Anchor – Shootings (meaning more than once), Koots – shooting, fights you name it,  The Gaslight – Someone tried to run the police over with his car a while back, and just a couple weeks ago  a guy at 4th Ave had his beard set on fire? Lets not even get started on Rumrunners they were acting like the mafia handing out ass whoopings behind closed doors and that was SECURITY! This is only what I know about but there are WAAAAY more things that have occurred from rapes, stabbings you name it! The club scene in Anchorage is nuts!

What really irks me is that working behind the scenes as a DJ in this town nearly EVERY club owner or manager in these bars has at one point or another blamed the MUSIC the DJ plays, or the color of a persons skin on problems that occur in or around their club? I have heard “WE DONT PLAY NO HIP-HOP” or WE’RE MOVING AWAY FROM THE HIP HOP CROWD” or “WE DON’T WANT THEM PEOPLE IN OUR CLUB” the latest one I heard was “I WANT TO GET RID OF THIS THUG CROWD” What killed me about that was he was obviously talking about anyone who wasn’t white and looking around the dancefloor  it seemed to be about 40% minorities on the floor? The worst part of this to me is that the people who had gotten into a brawl before he came to me just so happened to be WHITE? The one thing I’ve heard that kills me most is “IT’S KINDA DARK IN HERE” WTF! I guess racism is alive! Actually it never died and never will!

Its obvious to me that the club scene here associates anything that happens w color of your skin rather than its a problem between two people? I’ve seen more drunken belligerent white folks acting crazy, fighting and shit than i can count and to me it seems as if its that old cliche that “IF IT’S WHITE IT’S ALRIGHT” so lets not talk about it BUT Let it be someone other then them do something then its a major problem, like YOU PEOPLE ARE ALL BAD!

Let me make it clear the hip-hop crowd here and alot of other places has ABSOLUTELY set a bad rap for itself all on its own by doing bad business, acting like your entitled to more because you rap? sorry but you didn’t cure cancer! Walking around with bad attitudes, disrespectful acting like they ain’t got no home training like “I’m RICK JAMES BITCH FUCK YO COUCH” totally disrespecting the customers out for a drama free evening, management and staff when they say no smoking, fighting etc, and PLEASE don’t expect a tip from a bunch of ballers on a budget if your working for tips! Although you sure as hell can expect them to want you to PLAY their song and kill the vibe! Then get mad and cop a attitude cause you aint play it when they want it? You know money talks if you want your song played how bout you tip the DJ or get the hell outta the DJ booth! It’s called common courtesy/respect for others! I don’t come to your job when your working and expect you to drop what your doing cause I want you to listen to this new mix I just did?

I’ve been in clubs in Dallas, Miami, Pittsburgh, Vegas, Atlanta and never have I seen this much problems! It’s bad enough most of these bars DON’T WANT YOU in there and  if they could take your money & keep you out they would! Then you make no sense to me either complaining about the music and stuff  but you KEEP going anyway and complain about it! WTF? If you dont like the music they play then dont fucking go! Stand for something don’t fall for anything! At the same time club owners here should realize Anchorage is very small so people are bound to run into your enemy or the person who stole your gf/bf, or the bully from high school or someone who is just plain stupid then mix this w alcohol and you have a combustible situation!

Im not saying all people are this way but there is quite a few who make it look bad for everyone! I think the club owners here need to look deeper at how to prevent problems like that by maybe allowing off duty officers to do security like they do in several other cities i’ve been in! Stop looking at the problem as if its black & white, or gang bangers and look for solutions! As for you people who like to go out to relivee a little stress and have a good time keep in mind  to treat people the way you want to be treated and don’t ruin your night over small shit that could ruin your night or life for you and everyone else!
